Chief Investment Officer
As the chief investment officer of LCM Investment Management, Mark Scalzo is responsible for investment management, investment strategy creation, and research communications. He focuses on managing Bucket Strategy allocations across multiple risk and account size profiles using cutting-edge investment technology. Additionally, Mark performs investment product and platform due diligence and oversees investment platform representation for the media. He is also the chief investment officer for, and a managing partner of, Validus Growth Investors, LLC.
Mark has been in the financial services business for more than 25 years, having started his career at Salomon Brothers Inc. in New York. Since then, he has served in many research and investment leadership roles throughout his career in investment banking, private equity, and asset management at Putnam Lovell NBF, Fisher Investments, and Validus Growth Investors, LLC.
Mark graduated cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in economics. He holds the FINRA Series 65 NASAA-Investment Advisor Law license with Lucia Capital Management and FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses with Lucia Securities, LLC.
In his spare time, Mark sits on the board of trustees at The Country School in Studio City, CA, and is actively involved with Assumption Parish in Truckee, CA.
Mark and his wife of 19 years, Veronique, have three wonderful sons. All three boys are homeschooled and play the violin.
