Biography

As Chief Operations Officer, Tiy O’Neal provides strategic oversight of all platform activities. She leads the advisor transition team, supports client service initiatives, and offers leadership and guidance across compliance, supervision, trading, technology, and operations. Tiy also served as President of Lucia Securities until its assets were sold and the broker-dealer closed in 2020.

With more than 35 years in financial services, Tiy has held senior executive roles across the industry. She served as President of Western Securities Clearing Corporation, a provider of clearing services to broker-dealers, and as President of Tradewell Discount Investing, which delivered online investing capabilities to end clients and registered investment advisory firms. Prior to joining Lucia Capital Group, Tiy co-founded First Allied Securities and served as its Chief Operating Officer for more than 20 years.

Tiy attended the University of Central Florida and holds the following FINRA licenses with LPL Financial: Series 4, 7, 24, and 63.

Tiy is passionate about helping others and is active in her church, where she volunteers with the women’s and children’s ministries. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and playing a variety of sports and games. She and her husband of more than 35 years, Rob, play pickleball and occasionally disc golf or golf together. They have three daughters, one son, three sons-in-law, and three grandchildren. For Tiy, a perfect day is simply being together with her entire family.
