Checking In with Ara – September 2023
It’s Ara, reaching out with our monthly update. I hope this message finds you well. With summer drawing to a close, I trust you’ve had memorable vacations and stayed comfortable during the heat.
Interestingly, we braced ourselves for a hurricane in San Diego last week. Fortunately, we were spared the worst, witnessing only heavy rain and some fallen branches. On the business front, we had our annual conference for Lucia Capital Group and LPL. I had the pleasure of joining other advisors from across the country, which always proves to be a valuable learning opportunity. It’s a chance for me to delve into the latest in financial planning and to fine-tune my skills in line with the current industry trends.
Speaking of financial trends, there’s been a slight uptick in interest rates recently, largely driven by the Federal Reserve’s efforts to curb inflation. Nevertheless, the market remains robust. What does this signify for us? It suggests that during our next meeting, we should review your portfolio. Specifically, we might consider value averaging from bucket number three to bucket number two, or possibly to bucket number one.
